The 6th International Wood Energy Conference will be held in Zagreb (Westin Hotel) on December 2nd this year. Numerous sectoral experts and regional and foreign companies have already confirmed their participation, as well as numerous government officials from the EU and Southeast European countries. There will be presented and disscused many interested topics, for example, the latest technologies for renewable energy and use of biomass, the EU energy policies, the optimum heat energy consumption in existing and future Croatian cogeneration plants, which last week signed a multi-year contract for the timber products supply, etc. The conference aims to change public perception of renewable energy and to promote the EU energy policy which until 2030 predicts further increase in the share of energy from renewable energy sources, in which biomass has an important part.
